吊手岩位於西貢馬鞍山，高海拔588米，屬牛押山向西面延伸之山脈。吊手岩東面可連接牛押山前往馬鞍山，西面可接馬鞍山家樂徑前往燒烤場。其北面的山谷地帶則被稱為「雁谷」，並有多條十分險要的山脊，包括黃金壁脊、金毛狗脊等等。其中的北脊可由錦英苑起步，經過雁谷迷徑攀上吊手岩，是熱愛攀山挑戰的路線，惟途中需要攀爬多處險壁直崖，具一定危險性。
Tiu Shau Ngam is located in Ma On Shan, Sai Kung, it is 588m high, which is lied on the western side of The Hunch Back. ‘Goose Valley’ is a valley lied on the northern side of Tiu Shau Ngam, there are numerous steep ridges including Golden Wall Ridge, Golden Dog Valley. Those trails are only suitable for extreme hikers.
